I wonder if I'm the first guy ever to have a Springer
front end on my Savage? It's really #$%^ing awesome
looking with the long 70 inch wheelbase and the springs
and all. I'll post pics as soon as I get some.
It was a hell of a lot of effort. There were about
20 different parts to make. I made every single part
including the bearings and the spring studs!!
I've never seen a springer savage hardtail, so I'm
thinking I'm the only one in the world! That's cool
that my bike is truly a one of a kind, if you can
even call it a Suzuki Savage anymore, since I've
taken almost everything off, and made my own parts
to replace them. All that's still there is the Frame,
which has been modified, the engine, which is soon
to be modified since I've developed a leak I'm going
to port, polish and cut .030 off the bottom of the cylinder
head to raise compression, and the gas tank which I
think is one of the nicest gas tanks made in production
so I'm not going to touch it other then my billet
speedometer housing. Well, I'm really happy with
my springer Savage and now that I have a MIG welder,
I'm going to be making all sorts of cool stuff, like
custom dual exhaust maybe.
